Polishing stabilized,
sanded pen blanks to a high gloss, even after the use of extremely fine
abrasives, is possible by first using Tripoli and then using the White
Diamond buffing compounds. These compounds contain extremely fine
abrasive that are designed to remove any light scratches produced by
paper and/or cloth abrasives. The Tripoli bar is priced at $3.75 and the White Diamond is priced at $3.75. Each bar will polish
thousand's of pens as very little of this material is needed on your
buffing wheels. You will need two separate buffing wheels for the
process to work successfully as you do not want to use the same wheel
for both compounds. |
